Friday, February 2nd

3:54am: Rae Olerich reported a male jumped in front of her vehicle as she was southbound on North Elm Street. The officer did not locate anyone in the area.

8:10am: A Traffic Stop in the 1200 Block of South Chestnut Street resulted in Angela Lowmiller of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

9:34am: Stan Kyle requested an officer at 1216 Westwood Drive, #9, for an argument in progress. The officer arrived and learned the other subject had left the area. Nothing physical had occurred.

10:15am: Mike Goodwin reported a Stray Dog at 404 North Chestnut Street. The officer read the tags and returned the animal to the owner, with a verbal warning.

10:58am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 500 Block of West Vest Street.

4:57pm: Rachel Blumberg reported a Stray Dog in the 400 Block of East Washington Street, pulling a leash. The officer was unable to get near the animal, as it kept running away.

7:32pm: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation in the 1000 Block of Westwood Drive. The residence was secure.

7:55pm: Amie Loria spoke to an officer in connection to a family member not being allowed at a Saturday Funeral in Jefferson. The officer advised her to call if there is an issue.

Saturday, February 3rd

1:59am: An officer located an Open Door at 1500 North Mulberry Street. A key holder was contacted to secure the building.

3:04am: An officer located a Stray Dog near Westwood and Rushridge. The officer was unable to catch the animal.

9:04am: A Traffic Stop in the 300 Block of South Olive Street resulted in Kendra McConnell of Jefferson being cited for, “Dark Windows.”

11:59am: An officer performed a Funeral Escort.

1:30pm: Nora Hadley reported her neighbor was allowing his dog to defecate on her property and was not cleaning up after the animal. The officer spoke to the neighbor about the issue.

2:26pm: Teresa Ball reported catching a Stray Dog at 304 North Pinet Street. The owner arrived and took control of the animal.

3:51pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 600 Block of Hwy. 30 East.

6:56pm: An officer investigated an accident at Maple and Adams Streets. A 1999 Ford F150, owned and operated by Kelly Jo Brobst of Jefferson, was westbound on West Adams Street. A 1997 Dodge Ram 1500, owned and operated by Shawn Combes of Jefferson, was northbound on North Maple Street. The two vehicles collided in the uncontrolled intersection. Each vehicle had a reported $1500.00 in damages. Brobst was cited for, “Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability – Accident.” Combes was cited for, “Fail to Yield to Vehicle on Right and Fail to Use Headlights When Required.”

8:53pm: The Wild Rose casino requested an officer at 777 Wild Rose Lane for an unruly patron. The subject had left before the officer arrived.

9:29pm: A Traffic Stop in the 700 Block of West State Street resulted in Luis Medina Cruz of Latimer being cited for, Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability and Fail to Have a Valid DL.

11:00pm: A Traffic Stop near 220th and Elm Streets resulted in Larry Dean Bush, 59 of Churdan being arrested and charged with , “Child Endangerment 3 counts – Aggravated, OWI 1 st Offense – Serious, Open Container /Driver – Simple, and Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability – Simple.” Tanner Dean Bush, 37 of Churdan was also arrested and charged with, “Interference with Official Acts and Open Container/passenger – Simple.”

Sunday, February 4th

10:00am: A Traffic Stop near 220th and Elm Streets resulted in Mason Burgart of Halbur being cited for, “Dark Windows.”

11:54am: Anna Pound reported a Stray Dog in the 1500 Block of Hawthorne Lane. The animal returned the animal to the owner with a Verbal Warning.

12:20pm: Craig Hart advised his two dogs had been missing for some time now. He located the deceased dogs in a manhole to the storm sewer in the 600 Block of East Lincoln Way Street. The officer and several firefighters were able to recover the animals. The owner took them to bury.

2:56pm: Audrie Lawrence requested an officer in the 100 Block of North Elm Street. The officer arrived and learned her boyfriend was refusing to return her cell phone. The property was returned.

3:50pm: A Traffic Stop in the 800 Block of West Lincoln Way Street resulted in Eyezayha Scheuermann of Jefferson being cited for, “Dark Windows.”

4:25pm: A caller advised of children throwing rocks at the church in the 800 Block of West Lincoln Way Street. The officer spoke to the youngsters about their actions.

4:38pm: Scott Lowmiller reported a Stray Puppy at 108 East Central. The officer placed the animal in the Animal Holding Facility.

8:55pm: Tanisha Rice reported a stolen EBT Card from 102 North Olive#7. She later advised the subject had returned the card and she needed no further assistance.

Monday, February 5th

2:01am: An officer located an Open Door at 200 West Central Ave. A key holder was contacted.

2:50am: A Traffic Stop near Kirkwood and 230 th Street resulted in Kenneth Stevens of Scranton being cited for, “No Valid DL and Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”

8:13am: Karmen Carroll spoke with an officer about a Civil Child Custody Issue.

1:20pm: An officer performed a Funeral Escort.

1:55pm: A caller advised of a vehicle parked near Wilson and Washington Streets, which is blocking clear site of the intersection from the stop sign. The officer spoke to building owner, who advised they could move the vehicle.

2:06pm: A Traffic Stop near Locust and Lincoln Way resulted in Lilly Ruppel of Jefferson being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”

4:06pm: Ashley Overly requested an officer to check on her mother at 606 West Washington Street. Her mother was involved in an argument with her boyfriend. The officer spoke to both parties, who advised they were arguing about their relationship. Neither party requested assistance from the officer.

6:29pm: An officer was called back to 606 West Washington Street. It was reported the male party would not let the female leave. The officer stood by while the female gathered some belongings and left the residence.
