Ryan Meier, Audubon, was driving in the 11000 block of 240th Street, when he hit a deer.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $3000.  He was able to drive away from the scene.

Feb. 12

Andrea Smith, age 42, 4685 NE 14th St, Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.  The original charge was Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Cancelled Or Revoked.

Daniel Reeves, age 37, 411 California St, Lewis, was arrested for Defraud Drug/Alcohol Test and Possession Of Controlled Substance.

Dominique Peterson, age 28, 322 E. 8th St, Lamoni, was arrested for two counts of Possession Of Controlled Substance, Operating While Under The Influence and Possession Of Contraband In Correctional Institution.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
