The AC/GC Chargers girls basketball team continues their postseason run.
The Chargers hosted the Woodward-Granger Hawks Tuesday night, and started things off with a nice 16-5 lead going into the second quarter. After a slow start in the second, AC/GC continued to grow their lead, outscoring the Hawks 12-8 to go into the half up 28-13. The third quarter was where the lead exploded though, as the Chargers continued the show of dominance by outscoring Woodward-Granger 16-9 for a 44-22 lead going into the fourth quarter. The final quarter saw some junior varsity players make their way onto the court, and the Chargers put the game away for good with a final score of 51-31.
The scoring was led by sophomore Camdyn Richter, who had over 20 points, with senior Kelsey Carlson following behind her with 13 of her own. The Chargers will return to action Friday night, as they travel to Panora to face off against the Panorama Panthers in the semifinals of Class 2A District 2 postseason play.
