Postseason play begins today for the Jayettes. They travel east to take on the Panthers from Knoxville at 7P. The Panthers earned the three seed in the Regional while Perry earned the six seed.
Knoxville is part of the South Central Conference where they went 10-4, overall on the season they are 10-10. The Jayettes have struggled for most of the season going 4-17.
Hannah Dunkin leads the Panthers with 15.6 ppg. Right behind her is Brittany Bacorn with 15.1 ppg while grabbing 10.1 rpg. Knoxville as a team averages 49 ppg while giving up 46.6.
According to Coach Klein, turnovers are the key to the game. Perry has given the ball away at a clip of 21.6 per game compared to 14.2 for Knoxville. If the Jayettes want to pull off the upset cutting down the turnovers will be huge.
The winner advances to take on the top seeded Mustangs from Dallas Center-Grimes on Saturday night.
