The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School Board met on Monday to discuss the consideration of two new staff positions, among other items.

ADM Superintendent Greg Dufoe confirmed with Raccoon Valley Radio that the Board set the public hearing for the certified budget for March 25th. Dufoe emphasized that this is in response to new legislation that requires an additional public hearing be set prior to setting the Fiscal Year 2025 school budget. The School Board also reviewed two new positions for the 2024-2025 school year, including a Work-Based Learning Coordinator Teacher and Guidance Counselor, as a shared position. However, no action was taken by the Board.

Other agenda items that were approved included replacing all the lighting in the north gym, a crowdstrike renewal in the amount of $38,652, a yearbook printing agreement with Herff Jones through 2027, a Mullen Coughlin LLC agreement granting a serial engagement letter, and the Board is seeking  a member for the Dallas County Conference Board. Additionally, the March meeting was  moved to Monday, March 18th due to conflict with spring break.
