The Guthrie Center City Council met in regular session Monday Night.

The Council approved a liquor license renewal for the Guthrie County Fair Board, a building permit for a portable shed on the 1100 block of North Street, and resolutions pertaining to a new fee schedule for Union Cemetery and the fiscal year 2023-24 annual transfer per the approved budget. They also approved the second reading of an ordinance pertaining to temporary storage containers, then waived the third and final reading of the ordinance and adopted it.

The Council also heard from Public Works Superintendent Darin Sloss, who shared the department had logged many overtime hours during the January snowstorms, the pool repairs are almost finished and that he was gathering some quotes for some equipment, the funding for which is available in the Equipment Fund. City Clerk Kris Arrasmith shared her report from City Hall, and Councilman Ian Steenson shared he’d received the application for a housing grant from Region XII Council of Governments.
