Drought conditions remain the same in the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area.

According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, Dallas, Guthrie, and Greene counties continue to be in a  severe drought category. The Drought Monitor last month showed that Dallas and Guthrie counties were in extreme drought, while two-thirds of Greene county was also in extreme drought. 

It’s important to note that the National Weather Service didn’t list the snow accumulation for the City of Perry on Friday. Although, Adel received 3.4 inches of snowfall as of Friday morning at 7am. Guthrie Center displayed that 2.5 inches of new snow fell on Friday while Jefferson garnered 1.5 inches of new snow.
