At the February School Board Meeting for Panorama, it was decided to add an E-Sports program in the next school year.
Superintendent Kasey Huebner tells Raccoon Valley Radio that after a meeting earlier in the year that he attended, he thought out would be good to include more opportunities for students.
“The one thing that stood out to me was not having everything for everyone, but we want to have something for everyone. So that’s kind of a different mindset that I’m going with, and we’ve talked a lot about in meetings here. And so were just trying to find different programs that might interest some different students, because we want students to be participants right? To work with others, learn to be part of a team. I think that’s a lot of the growth process.”
Huebner adds a coaching position was also created, to help pave the way for the program, and allow administration to begin searching for a coach.
