This weekend individual speech performances take center stage with the Iowa High School Speech Association Individual District Contest.

Greene County High School Speech Coach Kelley Gray says 13 students represent 17 entries at the district contest at Waukee Northwest High School this Saturday. This includes four students doing two categories, with Gavin Vander Linden in reviewing and musical theater, Leah McCormick in prose and original oratory, Bill Wright with after dinner speaking and radio news, and Esther Van Horn with literary program and prose.

In order to advance to the state contest, a student must get a Division I-rating from the room judge. See the full list below of the students and what they are performing in for districts.
