The Perry City Council held their bi-weekly meeting last night, with the City Administrator outlining the total funding amount for the Frog Creek Restoration Project.

The Council approved the award for the project to Iowa Earth Works in the amount of $656,946.50. Perry City Administrator Sven Peterson presented the council with the funding amount for the project.

“Funding wise, $500,000 of this project is from the grant, which overall the project was 72% grant funded, so pretty good odds on that.”

Peterson mentioned that he couldn’t think of which funding grant had helped. The other items that were approved on the agenda included the award for the Iowa Street Stormwater Wetland project, the award for the 2024 Street Repairs 2024, and a pay application for the Wastewater Treatment Facility Improvements.

Additional items was setting a public hearing for March 18th at 6pm for the Notice and Intent to Dispose of Abandoned and Unused and Outdated Property, approving a Consulting Agreement with Motsick LLC, and then two separate Personal Property Lease Agreement with Fullhart/Carnegie Charitable Trust. One was pertaining to the artwork and photographs for the Hometown Heritage on Willis Avenue and the other was accepting the real estate donation of Hotel Pattee.
