He fell in the semifinals to eventual Class 1A 120 pound champion Rowdy Neighbor from Alburnett by major decision, 9-1. Slaybaugh then won his first match in the consolation bracket by decision, 6-4, and in the third place match, won by decision, 5-0 to bring home a top 3 finish.
After a first round bye, Jacobe won his first match in the 285 weight class, taking the bout by decision 5-2 over Panorama’s Joel Cooper, before losing in the quarterfinals by fall. In his first match in the consolation bracket, he had to go into overtime, but got the win by decision, 3-2 in tie-breaker 1.
