Coach Boettecher and the Panorama Panthers had their first game in the Wells Fargo Arena for the 2024 Girls State Basketball Tournament. The Panthers faced off against the Grundy Center Spartans in the Class 2A Quarterfinals, and defeated the Spartans 59-49, advancing the Class 2A semifinals. The Panthers will play again in the semifinals against the Westwood Rebels on Friday with the game starting at 11:45AM.

The Panthers had a slow start and trailed the Spartans at the end of the first quarter 15-6 as the Spartans went on a ten point run while not allowing the Panthers to score. The Panthers would come back with more fire in the second, scoring 19 points but the Spartans were able to maintain a 4 point lead going into half time. With the score at 29-25 to start the second half in the Spartans favor, the Panthers came out of the break with their typical fire, holding the Spartans to 13 points while scoring an impressive 22 points to take the lead 47-42 going into the fourth quarter. The Panthers were able to score another 12 points, while holding the Spartans to only 7, solidifying the Panther victory over the Spartans 59-49.
