The most recent report from the US Drought Monitor was released February 29th, and conditions show no improvement in the Raccoon Valley Radio area.

Since the last report from the US Drought Monitor Dallas, Greene and Guthrie Counties have shown no change in drought conditions, with all three staying completely in severe drought conditions. According to the National Weather Service, Jefferson saw about 0.2 inches of precipitation in February, Perry had 0.16 inches of precipitation, and Guthrie Center reported about 0.3 inches of precipitation.
