The Dallas County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Office is coming to the Perry Library a little earlier than normal due to Spring Break in March.

The Extension is holding a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) program this Wednesday titled “Mistake to Masterpiece,” to be held at the Perry Library. The library notes that the program is tailored for kindergarteners to fifth grade students. Kathy Rottinghaus, who serves as the Youth Outreach Educator at Dallas County ISU Extension, describes the program.

“We will be exploring a Mistake to Masterpiece. So, you know, sometimes you are drawing something and you rip the paper, so then you can kind of create something new with that. It might not be exactly what you thought it was going to be, but then it turns into something beautiful.”

The Wednesday program will be held from 3-4pm at the library with registration required. The library reminds citizens that the ISU Extension programs will return to its regularly scheduled third Wednesday meeting time next month.
