
The Greene County boys went to the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls on Monday and opened the indoor track & field season at the A.D. Dickinson Relays. The large event was open to teams from all parts of the State in one class in the non-scoring meet. Some events had 200 or more entrants.
The highest place earned by Coach Chad Morton’s Rams was eleventh in the 800 meter run from sophomore Drew Wolterman in a personal best time of 2:07.07. There were 168 runners in that race and junior Noah Hinote was 36th in 2:12.08. Sophomore Nick Madsen ran the 400 meters in a personal best 53.61 seconds and placed thirteenth among 198 runners. Senior Jack Hansen was nineteenth in the long jump at 19′ 11″ and sophomore Broc Stream was 34th with a best leap of 19′ 2-1/2″. The other top 40 finish for the Rams was in the 200 meter dash by senior Nathan Behne in 23:92, good for 26th place.
Greene County competes today in the UNI-Dome at the A.D. Dickinson Relays for girls.
