
We continue our review of the AC/GC Chargers boys and girls basketball teams statistics for the 2023-24 season.
For the girls, junior Shay Lemke started in all 22 of the team’s games, making 103 of 295 shots from the field for a field goal percentage of 34.9%, 39 of 154 shots from beyond the arch for a 3 point percentage of 25.3% and an effective field goal percentage of 41.5%, and went 27 of 45 on free throws to go 60% from the charity stripe. She also pulled in 37 offensive and 50 defensive rebounds for a total of 87, and recorded 120 assists, 100 steals, 5 blocks and 272 points.
Lemke was also able to help the team set some records this season, moving to 3rd on the all time scoring list with 504 points, 7th on the all time rebounding list with 209, and becoming the all time assist leader with 215 and all time steals leader with 195. She holds the record for points in a season with 272, and the record for assists in a career and season with 215 and 120 respectively, also taking the record for steals in a career and season with 195 and 100 respectively. Lemke set the record for field goals made in a season with 103, and she and teammate, sophomore Camdyn Richter, tied for most field goals in a game, with 9 a piece.
For the boys, senior Lance Bunde started in all 23 of the team’s games, going 121 of 263 from the field for a field goal percentage of 46%, went 40 of 106 from beyond the arch for a 3 point percentage of 37.7% and had an effective field goal percentage of 53.6%, and went 28 of 35 on free throws, making 80% of shots from the charity stripe. HE also recorded 21 offensive and 101 defensive rebounds for 122 total, along with 76 assists, 47 steals, 18 blocks and 310 points. Bunde also set the team record for steals in a game with 8, and tied the blocks in a game record with 4.
