Iowa Auditor Rob Sand released findings on Adair County, and the Adair County Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (CSLFRF).

The County’s revenues totaled $18,467,815 for the year ended June 30th, 2023, an 11.4 percent increase from the previous year. The disbursements for the same time period totaled $13,856,164, a 9.46 percent increase from the previous year. The report shows that the increases are primarily due to an increase in bridge replacement funding from the Iowa Department of Transportation and American Rescue Plan Act grant funds that were considered as a loss during the pandemic.

There were two findings related to the receipt and expenditure of taxpayer funds, and are repeated from the previous year. For the Adair County CSLFRF, there were no findings reported. Both reports can be found at the Auditor of State’s Website.
