The Dallas County Emergency Management Agency has updated their burn ban.

Dallas County Emergency Management originally declared a burn ban for the entire county on March 1st. As of Tuesday, they state that no person should engage in open burning within Dallas County with the exceptions of the Adel and Granger Fire Districts. According to the agency, the Iowa State Fire Marshal finds open burning may cause danger to a life or property.

The ban will be lifted when the agency believes it is safe to do so. Anyone violating the ban may be subject to a simple misdemeanor charge. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
