Last weekend, Individual Events Speech contestants from Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center High School attended the Walnut Hill Invite for another chance to perform their event.

Individual Events Coach Jessica Fridley says that seven students made the trip to CAM High School for the competition, with four placing in their respective events. Taking first place was Addison Laughery for Acting, while Andrew Mahaffey competed in Solo Musical Theatre and was also first place and Natalie Kent was the top contestant in Expository Address. Elizabeth Gonzalez was the final placement winner for the group, taking third in Original Oratory. Fridley mentions that of the 13 teams that attended the Invite, AC/GC took eighth place, which she said was impressive since they only had the seven students compete.
