The Mary J Barnett Memorial Library is preparing for their March Lunch and Learn event.

Library Director Jerri Hawkins says that they will be hosting the program next Wednesday, with Farm Bureau and Erin Swalwell from Advanced Markets, with the presentation “Changing Hands: Practical Tips in Farm Estate and Succession Planning.” She mentions that the session will be used to educate and provide resources for farm families that plan to transition to the next generation, and also goes into basic real estate and business succession strategies. Hawkins explains that they do ask people to register beforehand, by calling the library at 641-747-8110, clicking on the website calendar event or by emailing them at mjblib@guthriecenter.lib.ia.us.
