
The spring baseball and softball leagues for one Greene County non-profit organization has an early bird deadline fast approaching.
The Greene County Youth Athletic Association is once again having a baseball and softball leagues with three different age groups, including Minors with first and second graders, American with third and fourth grades, and Majors with fifth and sixth graders. GCYAA President Travis Warnke tells Raccoon Valley Radio the organization is dedicated to not only coaching the fundamentals and how to play different positions, but also about teamwork and coachability.
The cost is $55 per player with a $10 discount for each additional player. The early bird registration deadline is March 10th and then there will be a $10 late fee until the final deadline on March 16th. Warnke points out scholarships are available for families that would like financial assistance. Practices begin on April 1st with the seasons running until June 14th.
