Now that the basketball season has come to a close for the West Central Valley Wildcat girls, senior Zoey Dickson has officially played her final basketball season with the Wildcats. Dickson came into the basketball program as a freshman and only scored 17 varsity points her freshman season. However, Dickson had an 100% free throw make percentage, making both of the free throws she had her rookie season. During her sophomore season, Dickson got more playing time, scoring 76 points with 49 rebounds. During her junior season, Dickson cemented her place as a Wildcat starter, starting in 18 games while playing in 19, scoring 117 points with 40 rebounds. Dickson really blossomed for the Wildcats during her senior season, where she scored 257 points with 85 rebounds, 39 assists and 73 steals. Being the leading scorer this season, the Wildcats will need to look towards now senior Abbie Belden to help fill the void left by Dickson’s departure.
