
The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Track Team came out on top at the Iowa Association of Track Coaches Meet yesterday, with impressive performances to break several school records.
The ADM Tigers Boys Track Team competed in their second meet of the season yesterday in the IATC Meet at the Lied Recreation Athletic Center. The team won first place out of 28 total teams. Top performances include Senior Zach Lohmann, who was third and Senior Luke Krantz finished seventh in the 60 meter hurdles. Lohmann set a new ADM indoor record with a time of 8.45 seconds. In the 200 meters, Lohmann placed sixth blazing with a new ADM record at 23.02, placing him second all time at ADM. Senior Aiden Flora set an ADM Indoor record in the 200 meters, running 22.16.
In the long jump, Senior Tyler Gelhaar finished fourth, Junior Corbin Reed was fifth, and Lohmann placed eighth. Junior Torin Timmerman had a new personal record and second best all time at ADM of 4:34.12 in the 1600 meters, finished 10th and it was Junior Shay Holdmeyer in 20th place with a time of 4:56.44. Timmerman also finished the 3200 meters in ninth place at 10:11.07. The shuttle hurdles team relay set a new ADM record of 34.66 seconds, and that team consists of Corbin Reed, Keaton Kier, Luke Krantz, and Joseph Kitzinger. The Tigers 4×100 meter team also set a new ADM Indoor record of 43.51, with Aiden Flora, Tyler Gelhaar, Joseph Kitzinger, and Zach Lohmann. Finally, the 4×400 meter relay team won second overall with a time of 3:36.52, now ranking third all time for indoor for ADM. The full results are available here (ADM is under 3A/4A).
