The 2024 Iowa Legislative Session has passed the halfway point and the next opportunity for individuals in Greene County to interact with their lawmakers is tomorrow.

The Meet Your Legislators event will take place at 10am tomorrow at Thomas Jefferson Gardens of Greene County. District 24 Senator Jesse Green (R-Boone) and House District 47 Representative Carter Nordman (R-Panora) will be on hand to provide updates from their respective chambers, along with answering questions from the public via a moderator. Nordman invites anyone to attend as about 50 people were at the last one in February.

“You know Jefferson and Greene County, they are always extremely involved and up-to-date on what’s going on in the Statehouse, and I always appreciate that. So when we have big crowds at these forums, I think it’s an A+ in engagement and I really do enjoy them.”   

Nordman adds he does his job as a legislator better when he hears from constituents.
