We continue our review of the AC/GC Chargers boys and girls basketball teams statistics for the 2023-24 season.

For the girls, sophomore Camdyn Richter started in all 22 of the team’s games, making 93 of 203 shots from the floor for a field goal percentage of 45.8%, 5 of 12 from beyond the arch for a 3 point percentage of 41.7% and an effective field goal percentage of 47% and made 52 of 83 shots from the charity stripe for a free throw percentage of 62.7%. She also recorded 76 offensive and 66 defensive rebounds for a total of 142, 23 assists, 52 steals, 13 blocks and 243 points.

Richter also advanced to 6th in the all time rebounds list with 211, 8th on the all time blocks list with 14, tied for most field goals in a game with Shay Lemke with 9 each, and was named to the All-Conference 2nd Team.

For the boys, junior Ben Franzeen played in 4 games, recording 2 offensive and 3 defensive rebounds for a total of 5, and was able to show some impressive growth in junior varsity games according to Coach Lance Kading. Fellow junior Mason Wahl played in 15 games, making 50% of his shots from the field, and collecting 3 offensive and 8 defensive rebounds for a total of 11, 1 steal, 1 block and 6 points. Coach Kading was also impressed with Wahl’s development over the season, and looks forward to working with him in the off season to prepare for next year.
