If you are looking for something to do this weekend, one organization in Greene County has a free event happening.

The Greene County Historical Society is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day Open House at the historical museum in Jefferson on Saturday from 9am-noon. Everyone can enjoy hot cider, coffee, cookies, along with experiencing the different local exhibits that are on display at the museum. Plus, certain displays have interactive features. 

Attendees can listen to Irish songs being played by Janice Harbaugh on the grand piano and local authors and Jefferson residents Gina Coon Harrington and Susan Smith will be holding informal chats about writing and publishing. The event is free and open to the public.
