West Central Valley High School Musical “Nunsense” Coming Soon

The West Central Valley High School Drama Department will be performing their spring musical soon.

The first showing of “Nunsense” by Dan Goggin will be on Friday March 22nd, and the second will be on Saturday March 23rd, with both performances beginning at 7pm at the high school gymnasium. According to the drama department, the comedy follows a group of nuns holding a fundraiser to raise the money needed to bury four of their sisters. Previous to the show, the cook of the convent served soup, and 52 of the 72 nuns passed away due to botulism.

Funds were originally raised by starting a greeting card company, but the Reverend Mother at the last minute bought a 3D-HD flat-screen TV before all of the sisters were buried, and the last four are stored in the freezer until they have enough money to finish putting the remaining sisters to rest. The remaining nuns are putting on a show to get enough money to afford a proper burial. A list of the students and the characters they play can be found in this story online.
