A new face recently joined Midwest Partnership.

Coordinator Kayla Willms lives in Guthrie County, and when the position was open, she wanted to apply for it to be able to help with events and programs that are meant to benefit the communities that Midwest Partnership services. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that her background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Business and a Master’s Degree in Marketing, and has worked in the field before.

“In the past, I worked for (Greene County) ISU Extension and Outreach for six years as their County Youth and 4H Coordinator. So I’ve done a lot of marketing and events and things like that through Extension. I took some time off after my daughter was born. I took a job with the courthouse in Guthrie and Adair County to kind of be home a little bit more with her, and so it’s nice to get back into a marketing field.”

Willms mentions that she’s only been in the position for about three weeks, but has been enjoying working in the communities she loves. She adds that she is helping the organization prepare for some of its upcoming events, including their BizConnect event that will be at the Adair Community Center on April 4th.
