The first in a series of job fairs has been scheduled for April 3rd, and the Perry Chamber Director shares additional information.
Following the announcement of Tyson shutting down its Perry Pork Plant on March 11th, many organizations have collaborated to form a job fair to assist in the transition. Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti tells Raccoon Valley Radio that many businesses in Perry and even outside the listening area have expressed excitement about joining the job fair.
“So, we’ve heard from over 90 different employers from central Iowa, across the state, even beyond that, and then we’ve directed them to an intake form on Google form just to kind of have all that information in one spot.”
Pasutti admits an abundant volume of businesses continue to reach out. She encourages businesses to contact the Chamber by email, info@perryiachamber.org, or to call the office at (515)-465-4601. The job fair will be on Wednesday, April 3rd from 3-6pm at Hotel Pattee in Perry.
