The West Central Valley School Board met in regular session Wednesday.

The Board heard administrative and financial reports, before approving overnight stay for the FFA Chapter during the State Convention, a teaching agreement with the University of Northern Iowa and the Iowa Local Government Risk Pool participation agreement for natural gas spanning the July 1, 2024 to June 30th, 2025 time period. They also approved a technology device rotation of four to five years, and set public hearing dates for the use of Secure an Advanced Vision for Education funds for an athletic facility infrastructure project and proposed fiscal year 2025 tax notice for April 3rd.

The Board then set public hearing dates for the fiscal year 2025 certified budget on April 17th, and a budget amendment for fiscal year 2024 on May 15th. They approved grounds bids for Schwinger Lawn Care for $18,910.49, and for Short’s Lawn Care for the middle school for $10,028.27. The Board also approved the low bids for mowing contracts for Stuart Elementary, Dexter Elementary and the middle school, and re-opened the high school and athletic complex contract for bid, before entering an exempt session.
