The Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is ready for events to get started.
Some of the first events begin next week, with the start of the Ag Camp Series on April 9th. Extension Program Director Meghan McBride tells Raccoon Valley Radio about the second event, taking place next weekend, the Guthrie County Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Fest.
“So this will be a free, fast paced, educational and fun morning of family friendly, hands-on activities at Coon Rapids-Bayard (High School).”
McBride mentions that there will be several groups there to talk about STEM related topics, and teach about STEM items in their fields. The STEM Fest will be on April 13th from 9-11am. Those interested in setting up a booth or table can contact the Extension at 641-747-2276 to find out what they need to do.
