The first in a series of job fairs in Perry is happening on Wednesday, and a transportation agency will be assisting in transporting people.
The Tyson Pork Plant in Perry will be closing its doors at the end of June, and with the first job fair happening on Wednesday, the Heart of Iowa Regional Transit Agency (HIRTA) will be offering free rides to and from the event. The job fair will be held at Hotel Pattee from 3-6pm on Wednesday and according to HIRTA, the shuttle will make stops at Tyson, Northgate Estates, and Trinity Lutheran Church.
HIRTA announces that they will have a resource table at the job fair in order to learn about services available in Perry. To find out more about HIRTA’s transportation service, email Danny Schnathorst at DSchnathorst@RideHIRTA.com.
