
A recent report found that Dallas County is one of the top counties in Iowa in terms of health qualities.
According to an annual report by the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute, Dallas County came in second out of Iowa’s 99 counties based on factors of life expectancy, access to healthcare and more.
The county’s average life expectancy is tied with Sioux at 82, while Polk is at 78. The report also concluded that the median household income in Dallas County sits amongst the highest in the state between $76,000 and $109,000 and adds that the county is actively growing in population. Dallas County finished second to Sioux County in the report.
