The Annual Radio Pie Auction brought in more than $6,000 to help fundraise for the Perry Chamber Fireworks Drive in July.

There were 20 pies to choose from at the pie auction on Wednesday at the KDLS station in Perry, as auctioneer Tom Burkgren and Raccoon Valley Radio’s Shawn Kenney hosted the event. Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti helped keep track of the winners of each pie and the amount of donations. She told Raccoon Valley Radio that exact amount of money raised from the auction.

“In total, during the auction we had $6,600 raised and then we did end up having one get matched, and so with another 425 (dollars), that brings our total to $7,025.”

Pasutti noted that combined with the amount raised from the Big Boom Bracket Battle, the chamber is on pace to hit their goal of $18,000. Others that helped during the event were State Farm Insurance Agent Lynn Hulgan, with the help of Perry Chamber Board Members Cherie Welch, Kelly Mills, Julie Scheib, and Tiffany Olejniczak.
