Freshman Trevon Keely won three events and placed second in another on Monday night in Gowrie for the Paton-Churdan boys’ track & field team. The Rockets competed in Class B, the smaller of two classes at the Southeast Valley Invite.
Keely won the high jump at 6′ 0″, the long jump with a leap of 19′ 5″, and the 400 meter dash in 58.20 seconds. He was second in the 100 meter dash in 12.39 seconds.
Coach Kory Jeschke told Raccoon Valley Radio that it had been quite a few years since a P-C boy had won three individual events in the same meet.
Monday’s action was boys’ only, but the Rockets have coed meets on Thursday and Friday of this week.
