Jeffrey Fortin, age 29, 45 River Vista Dr, Adel, was arrested for Eluding, Possession Of Controlled Substance and Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Cancelled Or Revoked.  He was also cited for Speeding, Failure To Obey Stop Sign, Operating Non-registered Vehicle, Failure To Provide Proof Of Financial Liability and Unsafe Passing.

Maria Castaneda, Perry, was driving in the 27000 block of K Ave, when she hit a deer.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $5000.  The vehicle was driven from the scene.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
