Dallas Center – Grimes girls golf competed in the Little Hawkeye Conference on Tuesday in Norwalk, and the Mustangs were able to finish 5th outs of six teams in the event with a team score of 430.

Sophomore Joey Moberg was able to lead DCG in scoring with a 96, good for 11th on the day. Junior Sydney Miller scored a 109, senior Mackenzie Towne was able to fire a 111, and junior Josephine Bond was able to round out the scoring for the Mustangs with a 114.

Indianola was able to finish 1st with a team score of 344, Norwalk second with a team score of 368, and Pella 3rd with a team score of 369. Junior Camyrn Overton of Indinaola and junior Karsyn Lyons of Pella were tied at the top of the leaderboard with solid scores of 81.

The next varsity match will be against multiple schools at Willow Creek Golf Course in West Des Moines next Monday.
