Greene County’s high school track & field seasons continue today with a pair of meets. The girls’ go to Le Grand and East Marshall High School while the boys are at Saydel High School in Des Moines.

High schools in Iowa have one week left to submit performances for Drake Relays qualification. Drake holds competition in most, but not all high school track & field events and Drake decides how many qualifiers they accept in each event, and that number varies greatly. Going into today’s meets, the Greene County boys have three events in the running for Drake Relays qualification. Junior discus thrower Isaac Carman has a best effort of 156′ 3″ and stands in the field of 24 as of this writing. The same goes for the 1,600 meter medley relay, which takes 24 entries, and the 4 x 100 meter relay, which accepts 80 quartets.
