Dallas Center – Grimes girls soccer has gotten off to a strong start this season with a 4-1 record and will be looking to continue that this upcoming week.

The Mustangs have already been able to pick up some very nice victories, including over Johnston and Ankeny along with Little Hawkeye Conference wins over Oskaloosa and Pella. Their lone loss so far this season have been against Waukee Northwest.

Senior Kylie Knief has been tremendous so far this season with six goals to lead the team with five different players behind her with two a piece. Junior Neela Williamson and senior Hannah Renz both are tied for the team leads in assists with two a piece. Freshmen Emerson Torsky has been able to make some quality saves so far this season with 15 to her name.

DCG will have a big week coming up with Pella Christian on the road coming up on Tuesday and then next Saturday playing in the West Des Moines Valley tournament against Bishop Heelan and Sioux City North.
