The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Track & Field team earned first place in their home invitational meet on Thursday

The Tigers racked up 194 points beating out Ankeny Centennial, Humboldt, Winterset, Carlisle, Grinnell, Kuemper Catholic, and Carroll. For relays, ADM won the 4×110 meter shuttle hurdles, was second in the 4×100, 4×200, 4×800, and the 1600 medley, and third place in 4×400, and the 800 medley relay.

In the individual events, the Tigers had four of the top runners in the 100 meter dash with Sophomore Paul Giles, Sophomore Reed Obstarczyk, Freshman Owen Rychnovsky, and Freshman Christian Paul. Junior Issac Chapman and Junior Shay Holdmeyer went one-two in the 400 meters. In the 1600 meter run, Junior Keegan Holdmeyer placed second running a time of 5:10, Sophomore Nick Subbert (11:30) and Junior Luke Yanacheak (11:36) were second and third in the 3200 meters, while Sophomore Joshua Randol finished second (1:10) in the 400 meter hurdles.

For field events, Junior Corbin Reed won the long jump (18-09.75) and Freshman Reid Kluesner (5-08) won the high jump. The shot put saw Junior Lucas Farber (42-00), Senior Caleb Coghlan (41-09.50) and Junior Cael Murray (41-05.00) captured the top three spots in the shot put. The discus had six of the top seven with Sophomore Nick Subbert (121-08), Freshman Latimer Timmerman (111), Senior Caleb Coghlan (110-02) Junior Caleb Oberhoffer (109-07), Sophomore Devin Gelhaar (107-06), and Junior Beau Wahlert (106-09).

ADM participated in the Jim Duncan Invitational yesterday and will be in Norwalk tomorrow, beginning at 4:30pm.
