Greene County ISU Extension is celebrating Extension Week with a different program or activity everyday.

The week kicks-off with a program that participants needed to pre-register for with the Career Readiness Class at the Greene County Career Academy Monday night. Then on Tuesday will be a free program on Artificial Intelligence about its applications for personal and business life. There are two sessions, the first one is from 9:30-11am and the second program is 5:30-7pm, with both events taking place at the Extension Office in Jefferson.

Wednesday was another activity that required pre-registration with a Make and Take crockpot meal, where participants will assemble their Tuscan chicken pasta and garlic bread and take it home to cook later. Extension Director Lori Mannel says on Thursday is a Lunch and Learn from noon-1pm at the Extension Office about financial planning.

“We’re really excited that we have Ryan Stuart is our ISU Human Sciences Specialist and he specializes in financial planning. And we can get your spring cleaning done for your finances.”

Participants for Thursday’s program are encouraged to bring their lunch and a beverage. Mannel notes Friday wraps up the activities at the Greene County Extension Office for Extension Week with a Jefferson Matters Java and Juice, as they celebrate their new outdoor classroom from 9:30-10am, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:15am.
