Dallas Center – Grimes boys soccer played on a cool but nice evening on Thursday night against the Indianola Indians in Little Hawkeye Conference play, and the Mustangs were able to put up five first half goals and cruise the rest of the evening to a 6-0 win. DCG moves to 6-2 on the season while Indianola drops to 3-8.
The Mustangs were able to control pace and ball control as well, creating a lot of opportunities that they were able to score on. Defensively they were up to standard, limiting Indianola’s scoring chances throughout the majority of the night.
The Mustangs were able to win their 8th straight in the series, posting their sixth shutout against the Indians in the process.
DCG boys and girls soccer will both be playing in invitationals tomorrow. The boys will be playing in Cedar Rapids and facing Bettendorf at 10 am and Pleasant Valley at noon. The girls will be playing in West Des Moines against Sioux City Bishop Heelan at 11 am and Sioux City North at 5 pm. Major games ahead this weekend for both programs.
