A US Senator made a stop in Jefferson on Wednesday to host a small question and answer session.

Senator Chuck Grassley was at Jefferson Telecom where about 15 invited people were able to ask the federal lawmaker questions on any topic. Some of the issues that were brought up concerned recruiting and retaining law enforcement officials, housing support and programs for rural housing in smaller communities, as well as the newest bill that was voted on by the Senate Tuesday evening for foreign aid to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. Grassley also spoke about using ethanol and biofuels for aviation in the future and border control with Mexico was also brought up.

The stop in Greene County on Wednesday was part of Grassley’s 99-county tour.
