Celebrate This Is Adel was held Thursday evening at the Country Lane Lodge where many business members attended. Food was provided from 14 vendors in the area and Adel Partners Chamber Director Deb Bengston highlighted several projects happening in Adel.

She mentioned that a new interactive mural is going to be downtown, which can customized by scanning a QR code. Bengston also revealed that the food chain Jimmy John’s will soon be available. The chamber concluded the night by recognizing the citizen of the year and business of the year. The citizen award went to Carole Schlapkohl, who is part of the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Scholarship Program and the business award was given to the Fiesta Mexican Restaurant.
