The Greater Greenfield Community Foundation is looking to get a project underway at Nodaway Lake.

Member Jennifer Garside says that they have already raised a little over $20,000 to install new playground equipment at Nodaway Lake, and would only need another $10,000 to get at least some of the equipment up. She mentions that the final outlook of the playground depends on how much they’re able to raise for the project, adding that to get everything they would like they would need roughly another $20,000.

Garside explains that that would only cover the cost of the playground equipment itself though, so they’re looking at possibly asking for volunteer help to install the equipment. She says that the Foundation will be writing some grants to try and cover costs of the equipment, but that if individuals wish to donate they appreciate everything that they can get to help with the project. Interested individuals can make donations to the Foundation through their PayPal, which can be found on their website, or mail donations to them at GGCF, PO Box 13, Greenfield, IA, and mark the donations as being for the Nodaway Lake Playground Fund.
