A local high school in Dallas County has been ranked as one of the top schools in Iowa.

Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School was recognized by the U.S. News and World Report as being the seventh best high school statewide out of 353. ADM High School Principal Lee Griebel praises the teachers as they go above and beyond to help students succeed.

“All of our teachers are incredible at making sure that they are focused on what students need at the time, and making sure that they are intervening at the right time for kids, so our K-12 staff is just phenomenal and we all work towards that purpose of doing what’s best for kids.”

Griebel tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the 2023-2024 school year is going great with students that are engaged as well as tremendous family support. According to the report, ADM also ranked 1,744 out of nearly 18,000 schools nationwide and was voted the second best school in the Des Moines Metro.
