Perry High School’s Interim Principal is set to start as the full-time principal during the summer.
Interim Principal Brad Snowgren was named as Perry High School’s next principal during a special board meeting on April 10th following the January 4th shooting that killed longtime principal Dan Marburger along with sixth grader Ahmir Jolliff. Snowgren was named the interim principal for the remainder of the school year, while the school board was in search of a new one. However, after many interviews, Superintendent Clark Wicks felt that Snowgren was the right person for the job due to how well he handled the aftermath of the shooting.
“He’s done a tremendous job guiding us through this most difficult time, and he’s had passion, he’s worked hard, as well as our staff, as we go from healing and giving us a lot of hope and then pivot into resiliency.”
Snowgren previously served as the associate principal of Perry High School for over six years and officially begins his new position as the school’s principal on July 1st.
