The Drake Relays were held this past weekend and the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys 4×100 meter team achieved an amazing feat.

ADM took 10 individual athletes and eight relay teams to Drake University last Thursday through Saturday for 114th Drake Relays. The weather played a big factor, especially on Saturday before the last 10 events, which included the 4×100. In fact, the Tigers were scheduled to run at approximately 4:25pm, but a lightning delay for two and a half hours postponed the meet until 7:05pm.

The delay did not stop ADM as the Tigers, running against some of the best schools in Iowa, managed to finish first in a Drake Relays record time of 41.38 in the 4×100. The team of all seniors featured Aiden Flora, Tyler Gelhaar, Zach Lohmann, and Brevin Doll. ADM not only has a new Drake Relays record but the second fastest time ever in the state. The Tigers are competing at the Raccoon River Conference Meet tomorrow afternoon in Carlisle at 4pm.
