The Iowa High School Athletic Association recently announced the Iowa high school seniors recognized by the Iowa Governor’s Scholar Program.

These students are at the academic top in their respective schools. The senior selected by Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center is Emerson Van Meter. Panorama’s selected senior is Zoey Hambleton, and for West Central Valley, Madison Kent was the selected senior. The Iowa Governor’s Scholar Program began in 2003, and recognizes them as the highest academic achievers. Based on Basic Educational Data Survey (BEDS) numbers, schools select one senior, two if they are one of the top 64 schools in the state, that are the highest academic achievers in their first seven semesters.
