Main Street Guthrie Center is hosting an annual event on May 10th.
Director Lindsay Gilland says that this is the third year for the group’s Wine Walk, and the second year that they’ve done a Beef and Beer tasting as well. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that they want to highlight the businesses that help Guthrie Center shine.
“We are hoping to encourage our community and hoping to encourage people to come downtown to visit all of the participating businesses along our Main Street district. And within those businesses, they could be, or should be, offering drinks and appetizers to enjoy what you will receive with your $20 ticket. You will also get a glass along with a map of the event.”
Gilland mentions that registration for the event is from 5-6pm, with the wine walk taking place from 5-7pm. Once registration is over in the Guthrie Activity Center, then the Beef and Beer tasting sponsored by Doll Distributing and Guthrie County Quality Meats will begin, and last until 7pm. Once both the Wine Walk and Beef and Beer Tasting are finished, there will be a trivia night from 7:30-8:30pm, along with a $5 nacho bar.
